Lake McQueeney is in between New Braunfels and Seguin making it easy to get to from Houston, San Antonio, or Austin. You're close enough to get to a city but far enough away to enjoy the working farms that surround our home. It's truly a unique place to be and we know you will enjoy it! Getting Around: We believe it is best to have a car to arrive at our home. Once you arrive you will not want or need to leave so you could certainly go without a car as well. That being said, our location is so superb that you can use our home as a launching spot to explore various tourist attractions throughout the beautiful state of Texas. Beautiful Waterfront 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home on one of the most desirable parts of Lake McQueeney. We offer a fantastic lakeside deck and upper deck perfect for entertaining friends and family. The upper deck has a large 6 burner gas grill, dining table and a gas fire table (our happy place is an evening glass of wine + tapas taking in the lake view by the fire). The lakeside deck offers lounge seating, picnic table, abundant shade due to huge cypress and pecan trees, a large amount of waterfront space, easy to use Bluetooth sound system, and deep water of 10-13ft. There are also several fishing pole holders and some of the best fishing in south Texas. We aggressively treat for mosquitoes (doesn’t mean you won’t see any but they are not a huge problem). We are one of the only places around that offers kayaks and paddle boards for use (2 kayaks, one of which is a 2 seater and 2 standup paddle boards); you can enjoy a leisure fishing kayak or go for a miles long paddle workout on the morning glass of the lake. The waterfront is also very usable at night...enjoy fishin' in the dark or flip on the flood lights to completely illuminate the deck. We know that a big day at the lake can take it out of you - Absolutely nobody in the vacation rental business takes your sleep more seriously than we do! We believe that 2 people should never share a bed smaller than a King, sofa sleepers are absolutely unacceptable, quality beds save your back, and rooms should be dark enough for everyone to sleep in as late as they like. ALL bedrooms have legitimate room darkening curtains or blinds. We have also added the convenient touches like outlets close to each side of the bed, and plenty of pillows. The sleeping setup is 3 king beds and 4 twin beds divided into 4 bedrooms. We also have 2 additional twin beds slid under beds for use in whatever rooms you choose (there is also a full size crib available for use in the master bedroom). The Lake Haus offers abundant parking with carport and driveway space for up to 9 cars. There is one open boat lift that will fit up to a 22ft 4500 lb V Hull boat (bunks not set up for a pontoon boat), use must be coordinated with the owner prior to stay. The water under the lift is a constant 10-13ft so no issue with shallow water damaging your prop, also perfect to jump in! The Lake Haus will always keep you entertained and includes Giant Jenga (made with 2 x 4's), a large shuffleboard table and three big screen TV's. The home is artfully decorated with a clean, classy rustic feel and quality furniture. The home has a very open and light feel, making you feel comfortable and at home from the time you walk in. The living room wall is covered with wood reclaimed from a local Texas dance hall. The kitchen is stocked with a microwave, toaster oven, blender, slow cooker, quality pots and pans, and sharp knives. There is also a large cooler available for use. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms/2 full baths and large kitchen, dining and open living areas. The home can sleep 14 comfortably. The main living space and newly updated kitchen is on the second floor. Entertaining is easy on the large granite island (seating 6) and family style table (seating 8). Our family vacation home is situated on the breezy side of Lake McQueeney and has a gently sloped lawn down to the water. It is a well appointed home with lots of fresh upgrades. Secured by a gate on a private street and across from the only farmland on the lake, the view is wonderful and there are many amenities to enjoy including badminton/volleyball, ping pong and pool. The large deck out front is perfect for rocking the day away, playing games, and watching the boats and skiers go by. We are very close to the lodge by boat or car. A new boathouse, deck and top deck was built in 2018. The house deck was replaced in 2020. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, a day bed and a private bath with walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 has a king bed, a set of bunk beds and uses the hall bath with tub/shower. Bedroom 3 has 3 twin beds and a private bath with walk-in shower. Bedroom 4 has two sets of bunk beds, a futon, and an twin mattress. It also has a private bath with walk-in shower. The family room/dining kitchen area face the lake and there is a second TV room, both with cable TV. There is wireless internet as well. There is a fire pit and small round charcoal Weber grill. Looking for that throwback Lake McQueeney fun family vacation experience? Our waterfront home which we are renting this year for the first time is big enough to share with several families. It is located close to The Lake Breeze Ski Lodge, tubing at New Braunfels, and golf at The Bandit while being only an hour from San Antonio or Austin. Lake McQueeney is a dammed-up lake on the Guadalupe River and a great place to spend a week or a long weekend. Our cottage-style family home comfortably sleeps up to 16 guests in 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The views from the main house and boathouse outdoor decks are perfect for watching the skiers or tubers go by. The dock which has a ramp that lowers into the water for easy access to swimming, has four Adirondack lounge chairs and a rope swing. You will also enjoy a big waterfront yard for outdoor games, a ping pong table and dartboard in the walk-out basement "bonus room", and a large fire pit for family smores. It is located on one of the highest points overlooking the lake, with a huge yard and the sound of the wind blowing through the 100+ year old cypress trees along our waterfront deck below. Our home is located on a beautiful golf course with a huge deck over looking the 12th green. It has a very unique set-up with the main living on the second floor. It's been completely remodeled and very clean. It's located near the cities of New Braunfels and Historic Gruene. With such a variety of activities available near by, such as the famous water park Schlitterbahn, beautiful rivers for swimming and tubing, wonderful eating establishments, one of the oldest dance halls in Texas; Gruene Hall which you may remember the movie "Michael" was filmed inside. This small 3/2 sits on nearly an acre of property along the Guadalupe just upstream from Lake McQueeney. The long driveway weaves from a private gated entrance, between trees, and along to the elevated house. The open area beneath the house can be used for covered outdoor activities, or for parking. An outdoor patio table with seating for four makes a fantastic area for morning coffee or late night drinks, and for looking out over the large front yard down to the river. It's a big yard with lush green grass and huge, beautiful trees. There's a basketball hoop set up in the driveway, and there's a firepit by the river. There's a half propane/half charcoal grill available for use and two picnic tables for seating. The yard ends at the nearly 100 feet of water front with a small wood deck. There are two kayaks, a paddle board, and a large floating water mat available for use at no extra cost. Please remember, there is no lifeguard on duty. Please DO NOT DIVE OR JUMP into the river! Current and water conditions change and are out of my control. Please use your best judgement when it comes to utilizing the river. Children should not be left unattended and should be instructed to stay close to the shoreline. Also, it's best to kayak close to the waters edge to avoid motorized water traffic. There are no public boat ramps in this area and the water is shallow off this property (approx 1-2ft at 10ft out, 2-3ft at 20ft out). This is not a good property to bring a boat to. Also, again, please DO NOT DIVE OR JUMP into the river!

Lago Encantado is a very comfortable, relaxing, fun family getaway. The home is 3 levels, with 5 bedrooms and 4 ½ baths. Extra living space to enjoy and the rental accommodates up to 16 people. A large living area, dining areas and HUGE kitchen for entertaining is on the main level. The living room has a large screen tv and the well appointed kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils. All you need to cook meals is here and the kitchen is open to the living area, so the cook and cleaning crew are able to enjoy time with the rest of the group. There is a large dining table, a smaller round table and countertop chairs to seat about 17 people. Great views of the shaded yard and the lake abound. Adjacent to the dining room and kitchen is a large covered deck with plenty of outdoor seating and this is the perfect setting for enjoying your morning coffee or watching the sunset. Bedroom 5 has 3 twin beds with trundles (6 total twins are in this room) as well as a loveseat and chair. The loft area has a couch for extra seating. The lower level of the home is where you will find some top notch entertainment. The fun includes a ping pong table, a shuffleboard, a surround sound large TV / projector with plenty of seating for everyone. This room also features a retro “tiki bar” to make some delicious drinks & fun memories. Outdoors, a large fully shaded yard right on the lake is yours to envoy and includes a boat dock/deck. You and your group will enjoy swimming and fishing on the jewel of the Guadalupe. A HUGE smoker grill on a covered porch underneath the deck of the main level is there for you to make delicious meals and memories while enjoying this outdoor seating area.
